Application Guideline

Before you start: a note on your answers

Please complete the questionnaire and application in your own words. Applications with answers written by AI tools or copied from other sources may be declined.

This is not about your level of English. We welcome applicants of all language backgrounds, and simple or imperfect English is completely fine. Spell-check, translation apps and assistive technology (such as speech-to-text) are OK, as long as the answers and experience are your own.

Under the NDIS, participant safety depends on support workers really holding the skills and judgement they claim. Answers that don't reflect your own knowledge and experience are treated as misleading information under the declaration in the questionnaire.

Need help to apply?

If you have a disability, injury, health condition or impairment and need extra support with your application, please contact us on (03) 9620 3090 or info@roulaana.com.au. We can book a time for you to come into our Broadmeadows office, where one of our friendly volunteers can help you complete and submit your questionnaire.

Your answers still need to be your own, but our volunteers can help with things like reading the questions, typing your answers and uploading your documents. If coming into the office is difficult for you, or you need an adjustment for the interview, let us know and we'll find another way to help.

You can complete it in one of two ways.

Option A: On a computer (recommended)

• Open it in Adobe Acrobat Reader (free).

• Type your answers, tick the boxes, and type your full name in the signature box in Section 13.

• Go to File, then Print. On Windows, choose "Microsoft Print to PDF". On a Mac, choose "Save as PDF".

Saving it this way locks in your answers so nothing is lost or changed when you send it.

Option B: Print and fill in by hand

• Print the questionnaire and write your answers clearly in pen, then sign and date it.

• Scan all pages into one PDF. A free phone scanning app is fine, such as the Notes app on iPhone or the Google Drive app on Android.

• Check that every page is included and easy to read. Separate photos of pages are not accepted.

Whichever option you choose, name the file RDS-HR-REC-DSW - Your Name, for example RDS-HR-REC-DSW - Jane Smith.

Step 2: Fill in the application form below and submit

Upload your saved questionnaire and your resume, and complete the rest of the application form. Forms sent by email or dropped off at our office will not be accepted. If you need help, see "Need help to apply?" above.

What happens after you apply

We receive a high volume of applications and can't reply to each one individually. If you haven't heard from us within 14 business days, your application hasn't progressed this time.

If we'd like to move forward with your application, we'll let you know, then contact your referees before inviting you to an interview.

We keep applications on file for future roles unless you ask us not to. You can tick the box in the application form.
