Volunteer With Roulaana
Give an hour. Change a day.
Our volunteers make a real difference in the lives of people with disability across Melbourne's north, through translation support, community programs, and everyday assistance. Whether you have one hour a week or ten, whether you bring a second language, a skill, or simply time and warmth, there's a place for you here.
Where our volunteers help
Translation and interpreting support — helping participants and families in their preferred language, including Syriac, Assyrian, Arabic, Turkish, and more
RISE Program and Thrive Connections Program — supporting our community programs in action
General community assistance — events, activities, and day-to-day help
Not sure where you'd fit? Tell us you're open to anything and we'll guide you
What you should know
Volunteer roles are unpaid and don't create an employment relationship. Roles involving contact with participants require screening checks: an NDIS Worker Screening Check and a Working with Children Check (the volunteer type is free). Don't have them yet? That's completely fine, we'll guide you through getting them.
How to volunteer
Step 1: Fill in the short form below.
Step 2: Download our Volunteer Application Form, complete it, and upload it with your submission.
[Download the Volunteer Application Form] ← (link the RDS-HR-002 website version PDF)
Completing the form:
Open it on a computer. Adobe Acrobat Reader (free) works best.
Type your answers, tick the boxes, and sign at the end.
When finished: File → Print → choose "Save as PDF" or "Microsoft Print to PDF" → save with your name in the filename, e.g. Volunteer Form - Jane Smith.
Upload that saved copy below.
What happens next
Our team reviews every application and will be in touch to arrange a friendly chat. From there, next steps may include screening checks and our volunteer induction. Thank you for wanting to make a difference.
