Rosie’s Voice

Rosie’s Story

Meet Rosie

Rosie is a true-blue Aussie with a heart as big as her smile. A middle-aged woman with a spunky, warm personality, she’s the type who can light up a room the moment she enters a room. She’s got a quick wit, a love for a good laugh, and isn’t afraid to enjoy the occasional pokies run. Rosie’s happiest when she’s singing along to her favourite tunes, watching her favourite TV series, and squeezing as much joy as she can out of every day.

Health matters to Rosie, she enjoys a good, fresh meal and takes pride in eating well, with the odd cheeky snack here and there. But above all, it’s her kindness that stands out; she greets everyone with genuine care, a warm smile, and an openness that makes people instantly feel at ease.

Life Before Roulaana

For decades, Rosie navigated life with a constant need for accommodation support, emotional encouragement, and physical and social assistance. She juggled the demands of everyday tasks while facing physical limitations that often left her feeling isolated and dependent on others.

She longed for more independence, meaningful friendships, and the reassurance that she was truly cared for, not just looked after. One of her greatest personal goals is to walk again, but without the right support network, she struggled to find a path forward.

How Roulaana Stepped In

From day one, our priority was to wrap Rosie in the kind of support that would lift her up, physically, emotionally, and socially. We connected her with experienced physiotherapists and healthcare professionals to work towards her dream of walking again, while also making sure she had hands-on help with daily living.

Whether it’s cooking alongside her, preparing healthy meals, taking her out into the community, or transporting her to appointments and social events in her wheelchair, our team is right there with Rosie. We’ve helped her not just with the practical side of life, but also with opening doors to new friendships, social activities, and moments that make her laugh until her cheeks hurt.

The Transformation

Since joining Roulaana, Rosie has blossomed. She’s regained a sense of independence, built lasting connections, and reconnected with her love for the little joys in life, from music to being out and about in the community. She’s gaining strength and confidence through her physiotherapy, and she feels supported in a way that’s both empowering and personal.

What once felt like a life defined by limits has turned into one filled with possibilities. Rosie is no longer just “getting by”, she’s living life her way, with a team who truly has her back.

In Rosie’s Words

“Roulaana isn’t just support, they’re my mates, my cheer squad, and my family. They make me feel seen, heard, and cared for in every way. I feel happy about my future, I know I’ve got supportive people with me all the way.”
